The M9 Maple is also kiln dried for optimum moisture content. The pro
cupped end is ideal for controlling the weight for maximum bat speed
and durability. Maple Wood bats are a stronger wood than the standard
Northern White Ash models. This bat features a 2 ¼ inch barrel in
diameter. This bat is great for practice or games. Many high schools
and colleges are now taking batting practice with wood bats and now
